FAQ: Why do you use sugar as the base for your tissue salts and not use a liquid or lactose tablet format?

We chose beet sucrose as the base for our cell salts because it is as shelf stable as lactose but is clean, traceable, and plant-based.

We can trace where the beets were grown to make the pellets and can verify they were grown organically. The same cannot usually be said for an animal by-product like lactose or bone char (often use to filter cane sugar). Traceability and transparency about ingredients and how they are processed is of the utmost importance to us. This ensures we are able to make the purest and most potent cell salts available.

Another reason for not using lactose as the base for our tissue cell salts is the proliferation of food allergies to a large percentage of the population. Anyone with a food allergy can tell you it usually only takes the smallest amount to have a reaction. We want to provide a lactose free option to anyone who is concerned about that.

Our Serenity NOW Kali phos 6x combination remedy is in a liquid format because it is meant to be used daily. It is also certified lactose free.

We chose sucrose pellets (or ‘dry dose’ in homeopathic terms) for Jackson’s Mineral Salts #1-12 because if stored correctly in its amber glass bottle, they can last indefinitely with potency preserved. The same is not true of liquid preparations and much more can go wrong with its stability and safety.

You can easily dissolve our pellets in a small amount of water if you want to take as a ‘wet dose’. For even quicker dissolving of the pellets, crush them between two spoons before putting in the water. Stir vigorously and then take sips as needed. Hold the liquid in your mouth for 15-30 seconds before swallowing. Viola, custom liquid dose!
